From the rap group Wateule, the legendary Tanzanian Bongo Hip-Hop pioneer Jay Moe has made his comeback with a new single titled “Anna Michelle,” a captivating Bongo Hip-Hop track that highlights his distinctive storytelling and lyrical prowess.

Accompanied by its official music video, “Anna Michelle” signifies a return to the traditional Swahili rap style that solidified Jay Moe’s status as one of Tanzania’s most esteemed hip-hop artists. The single was released independently through his own label, So Famous Entertainment, on July 17, 2026.

Centered around a gripping street narrative, the song narrates the tale of a character named Anna Michelle, with Jay Moe providing vivid storytelling, clever wordplay, and technically refined verses. It also marks a departure from the commercial sound of his previous 2026 release, “40 Bars,” as it reconnects with the genuine hip-hop essence that characterized classics such as “Mvua na Jua,” “Misosi Mitungi Na Pamba,” “Kama Unataka Demu,” and “Bishow.”
