Tanzanian Bongo Flava recording artist and WCB Wasafi signee D Voice, born Abdul Hamis Mtambo, a prominent singeli and bongo flava performer, collaborates with accomplished singer and songwriter Jay Melody, whose real name is Sharif Said Juma, on the newly released track titled “Banana.”

Launched on September 20, 2026, “Banana” showcases D Voice’s dynamic vocal performance alongside Jay Melody’s refined and melodious singing style in an engaging Bongo Flava composition that explores themes of romantic affection, mutual attraction, and the profound emotional connection shared between two individuals.

The composition features both artists celebrating their relationship with pride while disregarding those who harbor jealousy toward their partnership. The memorable “Banana” refrain establishes the track’s lighthearted character, whereas the lyrical sections combine romantic declarations with clever Swahili expressions and the artistic synergy demonstrated by both performers.

“Banana” was crafted by producer Mr LG, with songwriting contributions from (D Voice) and (Jay Melody).
