The Tanzanian Bongo Flava artist known as Marioo was born Omary Ally Mwanga. He is a singer, songwriter, and producer, having entered the world on December 31, 1995, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Prior to his rise in the music industry with the 2018 hit “Dar Kugumu,” he gained experience working as a motor vehicle mechanic in his uncle’s garage.

Marioo has collaborated with South African artist BabyDaiz on the track “POMBE II (We Live Once),” which is an energetic party anthem featured on Marioo’s new MMMCXII EP.

This track serves as the final piece and acts as the closing song for the MMMCXII EP, which is set to be released on May 29, 2026. The production of “POMBE II (We Live Once)” is credited to Blvcq (Blvcq_Szn), with Kaniba Creator serving as the Executive Producer of the project.

“POMBE II” combines elements of Amapiano and Bongo Flava, incorporating the prominent log drum sound that is characteristic of the South African dance music scene. As a follow-up to “POMBE I,” this song transitions into a more upbeat, club-oriented style.
