The Tanzanian hip-hop platform Aznas Link introduces “Chimbo,” a significant collaborative single that features artists Dwin Waves, Chumvi, Drip Boy, Don koli, Kami, K Dazzy, Were Mura, Rapper Tozzy, and Azma Mponda.

Officially launched on June 3, 2026, “Chimbo” aligns with Aznas Link’s objective to uplift emerging artists by linking them with diverse voices within the African music landscape. This initiative is spearheaded by Azma Mponda through Aznas Music, reinforcing the platform’s commitment to collaboration, visibility, and the hip-hop culture.

The term “Chimbo” is a widely recognized Swahili street slang that denotes a secret hideout, base, hangout location, or simply “the place to be.” In this track, the artists utilize the concept of Chimbo to symbolize street identity, creative synergy, and a communal space where talent, ambition, and music converge.

Musically, “Chimbo” fuses modern Bongo Flava vibes with traditional hip-hop rhythms, allowing each featured artist the opportunity to express their unique style. This release follows other initiatives by Aznas Link, such as “Tanzania Kwanza” and “Business Mind,” further enhancing the platform’s mission to promote Tanzanian hip-hop talent.
