Tanzanian musicians Nako 2 Nako and Stopa Rhymecca have collaborated on Hawatujui, an engaging composition that employs clever inquiries and commonplace scenarios to construct an amusing narrative. The composition emphasizes the inquisitiveness that individuals frequently demonstrate regarding another person’s origins, familial connections, and personal circumstances.

The Tanzanian hip-hop ensemble Nako 2 Nako has partnered with Stopa Rhymecca to release their latest single, designated as “Hawatujui“. Unveiled in September 2026, the composition was crafted by producer Chizan Brain, with the accompanying visual presentation directed by Odimbo. The composition underscores the inquisitiveness that individuals frequently demonstrate regarding another person’s origins, familial connections, and personal circumstances.

They pose the question, “Wanatoa nani kwa nini huyu akuteach vizuri? Anatoka familia gani, Mchaga au Mbui? Anafanya kazi gani, kutumia bomba asubuhi?” Hawatujui distinguishes itself through its comedic wordplay and conversational delivery.

The Nako 2 Nako collective and Stopa Rhymecca originate from the Arusha region of Tanzania. This hip-hop partnership was inevitable given their established rapport. “Hawatujui” is derived from the Swahili language, translating to “They do not know us“.
