Tanzanian gospel recording artist, minister, and songwriter Joel Lwaga has teamed up with Bongo Flava superstar Diamond Platnumz for a moving new collaboration titled “Nikumbuke.”

“Nikumbuke,” which translates to “Remember Me,” is a deeply emotional prayer from someone waiting patiently for God’s appointed time. As blessings unfold in the lives of others, the song transforms feelings of pain, uncertainty, and longing into a sincere plea for God’s remembrance, favor, and intervention.

Uniting two prominent voices from opposite sides of the East African music landscape, the collaboration merges Joel Lwaga’s inspirational gospel style with Diamond Platnumz’s heartfelt Bongo Flava delivery.

At the core of the song lies the experience of witnessing others receive breakthroughs while still awaiting your own. Instead of expressing envy, the lyrics recognize the human pain of waiting and channel it into prayer asking God not to forget the one who continues to hope, trust, and believe.

Diamond Platnumz contributes some of the song’s most vulnerable moments, reflecting on everyday hardships such as financial strain, housing, business, and the longing for a better life. Joel Lwaga grounds that emotion in faith, giving “Nikumbuke” the quality of both a personal prayer and an encouragement to anyone enduring a difficult season.

In the end, “Nikumbuke” carries a message of patience, hope, faith, and divine timing. It reminds listeners that waiting can be painful, yet there remains room to pray, trust God, and hope for a breakthrough.
