The original version garnered attention through the Sugar Challenge and its catchy phrase “Bia Tamu,” establishing it as one of Marioo’s notable romantic tracks.

The Tanzanian Bongo Flava artist known as Marioo was born Omary Ally Mwanga. He is a singer, songwriter, and producer, having entered the world on December 31, 1995, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Prior to his rise in the music industry with the 2018 hit “Dar Kugumu,” he gained experience working as a motor vehicle mechanic in his uncle’s garage.
