Tanzanian Hip Hop artist Solo Thang, whose real name is Msafiri Kondo, has recently made a significant contribution to the East African music landscape through his new release, “Dreams.” Recognized for his distinctive blend of Bongo Flava and Hip Hop, Solo Thang’s latest composition demonstrates his exceptional ability to integrate traditional rhythmic elements with contemporary musical production. For this track, Solo Thang collaborated with Fid Q, a prominent artist from Mwanza whose birth name is Fareed Kubanda.

“Dreams” showcases his advanced lyrical proficiency, examining themes of affection and longing through eloquent Swahili verses. This highly anticipated collaboration between these two accomplished hip hop practitioners represents a significant moment in Tanzanian music.
