Tanzanian musician Picco Kikongwe collaborates with Chidi Beenz on “Baridi Kali,” a song that came out on September 5, 2026. Merging Bongo Flava, Hip-Hop, and Rap, the record delivers a raw, street-flavored vibe inspired by the everyday realities of life.

“Baridi Kali,” meaning “bitter cold” in Swahili, draws on the concept of coldness to mirror the struggles of urban survival, daily hustles, and the resolve required to keep pushing ahead. The song’s message also explores loneliness, heartbreak, and emotional distance amid the pursuit of personal ambitions.

The single is produced by Picco Kikongwe, with songwriting credited to Picco Kikongwe and Rashid Abdallah Makwiro, also known as Chidi Beenz. By combining rap and Bongo Flava elements, the track offers a street-centered take on resilience and life’s pressures.
