This track was a true anthem that had every secondary school student buzzing whenever it hit the stage. Our featured song today is “Makaratee.”

“Makaratee” is a timeless Bongo Flava/Tanzanian hip-hop track that was released in the early 2000s by the group Wehu Kumi Ngangali (W 10 N). The name translates from Swahili to English as “Ten Stubborn/Hardcore Madmen” (Wehu means madmen/crazy people, Kumi stands for ten, and Ngangali refers to tough/stubborn).
