Kenyan hip-hop artist Mtemi Afrika collaborates with Mtalibani Halisi on the track “Street Code,” a gritty hardcore hip-hop piece that reflects the realities of street culture along Kenya’s coast.

This partnership unites Mtemi Afrika from Voi (Vilimani) and Mtalibani Halisi from Mombasa (Shamba), making the song a genuine representation of coastal life. The track was officially released on July 24, 2026.

The lyrics address the daily grind, financial challenges, low-income hardships, and the resolve to create an independent life through hard work. Rather than focusing on romance, “Street Code” conveys a straightforward street message about survival, discipline, and maintaining dignity.

The powerful instrumental was crafted by Lambojini Vibes, with mixing and mastering by Heavy Gee. The official music video was directed by Director Kenah, under the executive direction of X Ray King, featuring appearances from Sheilah B and Posh Vixen.
